The Centre:
The cultural centre of AREMC is located at the centre of France, in the green city Bourges.
For 30 years, the centre of L'AREMC has been organizing musical holidays for children from 6 years old as well as for adolescents.
According to the age and level of of each child, he or she can either learn as beginner or to progress their vocals or instruments skill.
The philosophy of the founder Jacques Serres is to enable children and adolescents to develop their own projects and to play music together.
As the city of culture, Bourges is very attached to her House of Culture, the first of its kind being established in France, and the famous music festival "Printemps de Bourges” created in 1977.
The centre AREMC is set in a XIX century’s castle, in middle of 5 hectares’ park. It is an ancient remains of a feudal site. The main building and its annexes have been entirely renovated and specially adapted for their divers activities.
Other activities (manual, sport, game, walk and discovering the region) are proposed in every afternoon:

• Bread making workshop
• Nature discovery
• Dancing class

Musical program:
Choir and music workshop in every morning
Children musicians:
Choral singing (1 hour)
Singing (warming up, canons, polyphones, and other styles and exercises)
Workshops (1 hour)
Music class, by group (of age and level)
Group orchestral practice (30 minutes)
During the first days children can use this time to familiarise themselves with the instruments or to play musical games
Children do not play an instrument
Musical awakening workshops by group of 5-10 children

• Creating ambient sounds
• Voice working for integrate to instrument musical group
The culmination of this musical holiday gives a final concert to which parents and friends are invited.
